Membership Has Its Unexpected Privileges

Membership is a tricky subject and of course depends upon which side of the velvet rope you’re standing on.

Those who are on the Inside love it.  Those on the Outside either:

a) Hate it;

b) Want to be on the Inside, or

c) Both.

I’ve found many advantages on the Inside.  Being a member of prestigious Organizations such as Wikipedia, CIO/CTO Leadership Council, The White House, Cloud Computing, and Twitter allows me the opportunity to truly make a difference.   I am still a bit wary of the P4P© (Pay 4 Privilege) phenomenon.   But, that’s a comment for another time.

Take a look at my LinkedIn profile http://www.linkedin.com/in/dannybrucedohrmann and review my Groups & Affiliations. May be we’ll be able to help each other.

But enough from me. What do you think?

My success is beholden to my passion to learn new things. --From Sheppard to Evangelist; Client to Vendor; --Project Manager to Product Developer; --QA specialist to Boots-on-the-Ground Grunt. At the end of the day, I am a problem solver...The person who just does what needs to be done. I write webpinions and other short articles on a myriad of topics. A few include: "You Are What They Read: A Commentary on Job Searches in the 21st Century." "It's Not What You Think: What Helps and What Hurts You as a Contract Employee." "Back to the Future: The Return of the Corporate Family."
